Let’s talk about Mom guilt!
Yes, it is a real thing. I never imagined I could constantly feel guilty after having a child, but I do. Thankfully I have a bunch of amazing mommy friends who help me realize that it’s common. The fact that they go through this too, definitely helps me not feel so alone.
What I’ve learned over the past few years is that I don’t have to do everything all at once. It’s ok to skip a day of this or that. It’s ok to take a break. It’s ok to not be on top of everything at all times. I’ve also learned to block out anyone who try’s to make me feel guilty. I do enough of that myself, I definitely don’t need anyone else to add on to it.
